MAIN CHARACTERS

RED

A 10-year-old boy from Pallet Town who aspired to become the strongest Pokemon Trainer in the world. With Poliwhirl, Bulbasaur, Pikachu and others, he travelled the land of Kanto to challenge various trainers.

GREEN

Red’s rival and the grandson of Prof. Oak. He studied abroad and recently returned to Kanto. An arrogant but very skilled trainer who used Charmander as well as other powerful Pokemon.

BLUE

A mischievous girl good with tricks and deception, she was an expert in burglary. Not afraid to steal even from Team Rocket, did she also snatch Prof. Oak’s Squirtle from his lab?

PROF. OAK

A leading expert in Pokemon. He invented the Pokedex.

BROCK

Gymleader of Pewter City. He is an expert in Rock type Pokemon.

MISTY

The Cerulean Gymleader who is a Water Pokemon expert.

BILL

Inventor of the Pokemon Storage and Transfer System.

ERIKA

Celadon Gymleader who commands a group of warriors.

BLAINE

A former TR Scientist who is also the Cinnabar Gymleader.

TEAM ROCKET

A secret organization which exploited Pokemon for evil deeds. Their biological experiments have caused many Pokemon to suffer, and even changed the ecosystem of Kanto.

LT. SURGE

Used the cruise liner, S.S. Anne, to smuggle Pokemon. He is also the Vermilion Gymleader.

KOGA

A ruthless and skillful ninja who specializes in Poison types. He is actually the Fuchsia Gymleader.

SABRINA

A powerful psychic. She is the Gymleader of Saffron City where the Team Rocket HQ is located.

GIOVANNI

(TR Leader)

The missing Gymleader of Viridian City who is actually the Boss of the evil Team Rocket.
